Sri Lankan’s Team Likely Tour to Pakistan
Peri Witny asked:
Their decision has put Pakistan Cricket Board in new trouble as currently Sri Lankan team is in Bangladesh for 3 one day international matches after giving a white wash defeat to Bangladesh but Bangladesh gave quite a tough time to Sri Lankan team in last test match and they proved themselves that they can become one of the world’s best cricket team.
After Australia and India’s refusal to visit to Pakistan, Sri lank accepted Pakistan proposal for 3 tests ,5 one day internationals and one 20 twenty match and it was decided between the two cricket boards that this tour would start from the mid of January but now Sri Lankan cricketers have asked to its board that they want to start their tour to Pakistan from 15th February but from 2nd March Pakistan has to go to Bangladesh for a 5 one day internationals(ODIs) so there are a lot of chances that Pakistan’s tour to Bangladesh would be effected a lot if Pakistan has to accept Sri Lanka’s new schedule for visiting to Pakistan and now PCB (Pakistan Cricket Board) is in deep trouble.
Sri Lanka’s visit to Pakistan would give new life to Pakistan cricket as after Australia and India’s refusal it was quite evident that now there would be no more cricket in Pakistan and big cricket teams of the world would not come in Pakistan in near future but Sri Lanka’s up coming tour to Pakistan would revive all cricket activities in Pakistan and would force to other teams to visit Pakistan.
Now PCB has tow options either to reschedule its tour to Bangladesh or to make arrangements with Sri Lankan Cricket Board to send its team in the mid of this month immediately after completing its tour to Bangladesh.
Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is hopeful that schedule of Sri Lankan team’s tour to Pakistan would be finalized on Sunday 4th January. There are rumors that Indian cricket board is try to call Sri Lankan team for playing home series against Sri Lanka and they also have inner desire that Sri Lank should cancel its tour to Pakistan but authorities of Indian Cricket Board (BCCI) has denied any such rumors that it has any role in Sri Lanka’s late tour to Pakistan or its cancellation of tour.
There are chances that Shoib Malik would be chosen as a captain and there are chances that he would be finalized as captain of Pakistan Cricket Team while Chief selector have a view that Captain should be appointed on a series to series basis.
Pakistan team’s captain Shoaib Malik said that Sri lank’s tour to Pakistan would be very much helpful for resuming cricket activities in Pakistan.
